Keeping customers, partners, patients and employees safe

Our Steadfast Commitment to Service, Supply, and Safety Amid the COVID-19 Outbreak

The outbreak of the COVID-19 virus poses many new challenges for all of us. We at iSpecimen are continuously monitoring the outbreak and taking both actions and precautions necessary to ensure business continuity while maintaining the safety of our employees and their families. Accordingly, we have implemented processes and practices to effectively and safely continue to provide our global customers with samples; support and monitor our extensive network of sample providers for changes in their operations; and maintain a secure working environment for all members of the iSpecimen team. We are also monitoring all pertinent guidance from federal disease control agencies, global health advisory organizations, and infectious disease experts worldwide and will comply with changing recommendations as they happen.

Ongoing specimen delivery

While our specimen supply chain is largely uninterrupted at this point in time, we are closely monitoring key factors that may impact the pace and availability of specimen delivery.  Should we notice changes in our suppliers’ collection capabilities, we will work to find alternate sources and will communicate corresponding updates and contingency plans to our clients.  Additionally, we understand that our clients’ needs may be affected too (for example, work-from-home schedules at our client sites may limit their ability to receive sample shipments) and will do our best to accommodate changing requirements.

Seamless service, support, and safety

The entire iSpecimen team remains in place to keep critical research moving forward. Although we are enforcing travel restrictions and work-from-home initiatives to help “flatten the curve,” iSpecimen personnel required for the physical handling of specimens will remain on site and reachable at our main offices in Lexington, Massachusetts. We are also leveraging our state-of-the-art technology to ensure seamless operations and communication with our customers and partners. Our goal is to provide uninterrupted levels of support to our research clients and supply partners during this period of uncertainty.

Critical communications and updates

As mentioned, we currently are not facing a measurable slowdown in our ability to collect and deliver samples, but given the uncertainty with COVID-19, that may change in the weeks to come. We will continue to communicate updates via our website and email.  In the meantime, if you have specific questions, we encourage you to reach out to your sales representative or our customer service team at [email protected]. They are here and ready to help!

Thanks and thoughts

Finally, during these challenging times, our thoughts go out to all those affected by COVID-19. For those who are working to develop new diagnostics, therapies, and vaccines, as well as those who are helping to directly care for patients, we thank you. For anyone who is personally dealing with COVID-19 related issues, we wish you a return to normalcy soon.

Best,
